Winning award is something that is highly accredited by Universities, and the last winner won a scholarship for the award; So, something to keep into consideration.

Conceptualizations for consideration:
Setting as an overlooked character is stories; What the character trait of individuals who stay up late at night says about said characters, as is seen in Dracula, Faust, Paradise Lost, Frankenstein, and other such stories, and as recommended by P. F.F.; The American Zeitgeist, Writing: The Evolution of Thought: Expand on Writing Portfolio from Advanced English and Critical Thinking; The Parallelsims between Creativity and Mental Illness (reference abstracts from the Kingdom studies, Harvard, and Stanford related to the issue.
